It all started back before the 2011 season when Bill Belicheck was asked about newly acquired Chad Ochocinco tweeting about something and the press asked Bill about it in training camp. Bill responded, “I don’t Twitter, I don’t myface, I don’t yearbook”. Many “analysts” for ESPN and other national outlets jumped all over this and over analyzed it completely. Then Wednesday at the end of a press conference, he asked a reporter if he was putting a video on “snapface”. Once again the mainstream sports media has jumped on this story and some geniuses actually were discussing this story to death.
I am going to finally put it to rest. Bill was obviously messing around with the press as he always does because he knows he will get a big reaction out of them. This has been true both times. He may be 63 years old, but he’s a very intelligent man who happens to have kids who probably use social media in one form or another. Now that this issue has been cleared up its time to put it to rest and continue working on Super bowl 50 and taking down the Cowboys on Sunday.
