With what seemed to be one of the most exciting weeks in college football, this weeks AP Poll hasn't changed as much as you'd think. With thrillers all across the country, from Clemson to Ohio State, the home stretch towards the playoff has truly begun.
West Virginia shot up the poll this week from 20th all the way to 12th. Sitting at 5-0 on the season, even though they have yet to play a ranked team. With games against Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas, and TCU still on the way, the Mountaineers have a tough rest of the season in order for them to get into the playoff.
Ole Miss is currently 3-3. Now, being .500 isn't anything to write home about but, with loses to FSU, Bama and Arkansas, the Rebels are a talented and experienced team. The Rebels have a lot of offensive fire power and if Chad Kelly can play to his potential the Rebels have a shot for a New Years six bowl.
Tennessee, who was off to a great start to their season now sit at 5-2 after two crushing losses to Alabama and Texas A&M. While their remaining games are beneficial because they are not facing a single ranked team, it's tough to get back in the playoff picture when you've lost to two of the biggest contenders.
