With yet another exciting week of college football in the books, the Week 7 AP poll was kept solid in the top 10 but vastly shaken up between the rest of the remaining 15.
Houston has been flying high all season, until last Saturday. Navy's season was going just as planned with a 3-1 record going into the game. With the triple option proving that it could not be stopped, Houston was downed 46-40. With hopes that they could be in the playoff this year, the drop from #6 to #13 could prove to be a crushing blow to their campaign.
Florida State's season has been a roller coaster of up's and down's. Their game against Louisville, which I thought of as utter exposure, to now a last-second win against Miami, FSU has been all over the place. The 'Noles shot up the polls this week all the way to #14. With a big game against Clemson coming up in a few weeks, they need to keep this momentum going.
Well as quick as they rise, just as quick they fall. The U were in a great place so far this season until Florida State came to play this weekend. Miami was set to tie the game until the Seminoles field goal block came in and ended Miami's perfect season. Miami needs to rebound and win out in order for them to get into the ACC Championship.
The Hokies steady climb up the polls this year has created a dark horse in the ACC and they currently lead their division. With a good Miami team in the coming weeks, they need to be prepared for a battle.
