Week 6 in the world of college football was jam packed with upsets, thrillers and plenty of great games. Headlined by three top-ten matchups, these games had no shortage of highlight plays.
The Washington Huskies came into their home game against Stanford as slight underdogs but showed quickly that sometimes the polls are just numbers. Washington started the game dying around the field, creating points quickly on offense and causing turnovers on defense. This game for the Huskies was a statement game. Stanford came into the game flying high, on the back of their star running back Christian McCaffery as they had started the season 3-0. The Huskies showed Friday night that they are for real. Watch out PAC-12.
I will confess I said last week Michigan would roll over Wisconsin, I was dead wrong. The Big House was indeed rockin' but Michigan's late touchdown was essential for them to survive against a really good Wisconsin team. The defense played strong all game for both sides but the interception of the year goes to Jordan Lewis for a BEAUTIFUL one-handed snag to seal the game. With two easy opponents in the upcoming weeks, Michigan better get ready because Michigan st. is going to come for their throat.
The Duel in Death Valley was a great game that came down to the wire. Lamar Jackson and his Cardinals went into a very hostile environment on Saturday night and they balled out. While they may of not won, they really showed that they are an incredibly talented football team that can hang with the best of 'em in college football. I'd like to personally thank Deshaun Watson for reminding the nation that while Lamar Jackson is fun to watch, Watson is the only QB ever to throw for 4,000 yards and rush for 1,000. The Cardinals still have an oppurtunity to get into the playoff with their crucial game in November against #6 Houston.
