Following yet another great weekend in the world of College Football, the Associated Press Poll is always there to remind us how bad one loss can be. This weeks poll stayed steady at the the top but plenty of movement outside of the top 10.
2. Ohio State
9. Texas A&M
12. Florida State
16. Ole Miss
17. Michigan State
19. San Diego State
24. Boise State
Ole Miss's dominating 45-14 victory over Georgia, they flew up the poll all the way to 16th as the Bulldogs fell all the way down to 25th. Chad Kelly put up soild numbers both in the air and on the ground, padding his stats as we approach mid-season.
When thinking of having a bad day nothing truly resembles Georgia's on Saturday. They got blown out 45-14 by an onslaught of offense by Ole Miss, and lost their star running back Nick Chubb to an ankle injury that could keep him sidelined for a few weeks. With a tough opponent in Tennessee this week, a healthy Chubb is a necessity for them to pull off the upset.
Utah squared off against a struggling USC team on Friday night, skating past on the back of quarterback Troy Williams and his 2 touchdown passes. Their victory helped them improve to 18th in the poll.
The Spartans struggled this week as they faced off against a strong Wisconsin team and were flat out overwhelmed. Losing 30-6, Sparty couldn't get the ball moving in the air or on the ground. Leading them to fall to 9 spots to 17th in the country. With Michigan not too far away, these next few games are vital for Michigan St. to get their offense going.
The new AP poll has created some intriguing and exciting matchups for this upcoming weekend, which will be fun to watch.
#7 Stanford vs. #10 Washington
This game is gonna be an offensive battle. Christian McCaffrey is flat-out dominant and is going to get a bunch of touches, but Jake Browning has been phenomenal this season with 14 TDs so far.
#8 Wisconsin at #4 Michigan
Michigan is gonna win this game, the true test will be by how much. Jim Harbaugh's Wolverines are a complete team, filled with athletes like Jabrill Peppers and Jake Butt. Michigan is gonna come up big in this game and the Big House is gonna be rockin'.
#3 Louisville at #5 Clemson
Whoever wins this game will be responsible for the 2017 Heisman Winner, and possibly the ACC Champion. Watching Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson duel in Death Valley all night long will be very fun to watch. Jackson is too dynamic and Louisville's defense is too strong for Clemson to handle.
