So if you're like me you have hit that point during the semester/school year and even people out in the working world, where you just want it to be summer. Its late March, the weather is starting to get nice out and the last thing we want to be doing is work. So I'm going to jump ahead to the summer and give a preview of what we have to look forward to.
1. The Red Sox should be decent this year
The Red Sox made a splash this offseason, with new team president Dave Dombrowski. They went out and signed arguably the top pitcher in the game in David Price. They also sured up the bullpen with Craig Kimbrel and Carson Smith. As long as guys for the most part can stay healthy, I view this team as a World Series contender and should be able to lock up the AL East for the first time since 2013.
2. The Celtics will be in the playoffs
So this is actually not a new thing since they did make the playoffs last year even though they got swept by the "mistake on the lake" in the first round. Since the Celtics are now the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference it is highly likely that we will be seeing an exciting playoff run with this team for the first time since 2012. With a favorable matchup and home court advantage it should be a wild ride and who knows how far they could go.
3. Thrones will be back on
HBOs hit series Game of Thrones will be back on the air starting April 24th, so just about five weeks from now. About three episodes into the series I will be back home for the summer so I can enjoy seven episodes with the rest of the BBS management team. This season will probably be the most exciting so far. Last season left us with a lot of cliffhangers so I predict that we will see the most exciting season yet.
4. Ballers wil be back on
Another HBO show, it starts pretty much right after Thrones ends so it's just a seamless transition for an HBO fan. Ballers will be back for it's second season and after a great first season the expectations are high. Look to see more beautiful shots of Miami Beach, flashy cars and cameos of NFL stars.
5. NBA Free Agency
I'll be the first one to say when it comes to the Celtics and free agency, it has proven lately to not be the the most exciting thing. It is sad to say, but it apparently took a lot of convincing to get Amir Johnson to come to the Celtics so I don't know how Danny A is going to get big name free agents to come here, but lets hope he can figure something out. Either way the anticipation of them actually doing something is still exciting even if they let us down in the end.
