We are now in midst of the dog days of winter. The PGA Tour season will continue in just a few weeks from Hawaii with the Tournament of Champions. Since making his return to competitive golf, Tiger has kept himself busy.
First off, Tiger announced an endorsement deal with Bridgestone Golf to play their B330S golf ball. Reports indicate that Bridgestone did not initially approach The Big Cat. This means Tiger tested a number of different golf balls and found that the B330S best fits his golf game. After Tiger reported having success with the golf ball, the two sides reached an endorsement agreement, which allows Woods to play an instrumental role in future golf ball development. Tiger will also be featured in new Bridgestone advertising campaigns.
On December 23rd, Tiger made headlines by playing golf with President-elect Donald Trump. The two played at a club in Miami owned by The Donald. President-elect Trump is listed at a 2.8 handicap by the USGA. I wonder how many shots Tiger gave him Tiger also famously played a round of golf with President Barack Obama in 2013.
Tiger usually opens up his golf season at Torrey Pines at the Farmer’s Insurance Open. Tiger has yet to officially commit to the January event. However, Tiger has committed to the Genesis Open at Riviera CC in Los Angeles. Tiger will also play as tournament host with the proceeds benefitting The Tiger Woods Foundation.
Lastly, Tiger will turn 41 years old on December 30. And by the way, the goatee looked pretty good until it turned white. Shame!
