The 25th pick of the 2010 draft is now, once again, jobless. Tim Tebow has just been released by the Philadelphia Eagles and this will be his third time being released since the end of the 2012 season. Tebow hasn't made a start since he took over at QB for Kyle Orton in Denver back in 2011.
There aren't many options for Tim Tebow to start at quarterback this season. If he wants to play QB this year, I think his only two realistic options are with Buffalo (beating Tyrod Taylor and Matt Cassel) or Washington (beating RG3 and Kirk Cousins). But there are other options for 6' 3" 245 pound 28 year old.
Built like a fullback, Tebow could find himself back in New England where he spent the 2013 preseason. James Devlin has been put on the season-ending IR and Tebow should know the Patriots playbook since he was one of the final cuts back in 2013.
Players, coaches, and fans all love when trick plays work to perfection. In fact, the Pats made the Super Bowl last season with the help of a few trick plays in the AFC Divisional and Championship rounds. With a 2 quarterback formation, the trick play will always be in the back of a defense's mind, making Tebow's job easier in the run department as defenses will have to remain aware of a possible fullback pass.
