After a crushing defeat last night, the Red Sox and White Sox will get back at it in the second game of this four game set. The White Sox will be sending Chris Sale to the mound, who is hands down the best pitcher in the American League (aside from Steven Wright, obviously). The lefty was the first pitcher to win 11 games this season, which came off of the Detroit Tigers. Sale pitched seven innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out seven on 119 pitches.
The Red Sox will be sending Clay Buchholz to the mound, who is making his first start since May 26. On the season, Buchholz is 3-6 with a 5.86 ERA, splitting time between the starting rotation and the bullpen. In a May 4th start against these Chicago White Sox, Buchholz allowed only two runs on three hits.
