After the last two days' drubbings, the Red Sox look to sweep the series against the lowly Twins. The Red Sox have scored 23 runs in the past two days, and look to do much of the same against Pat Dean today. Dean is 1-2 with a 4.75 ERA on the season, and has struggled as of late. In his past two outings, the lefty has a 7.71 ERA in 9.1 innings. In Dean's last start on Tuesday against the Miami Marlins, he gave up four runs in 4.1 innings.
On the flip-side, the Red Sox will be sending Rick Porcello to the mound, who has been up-and-down since his terrific start to the season. Porcello has registered three straight no-decisions, but has been able to get out of self-inflicted jams in all of them. Against an extremely struggling lineup, Porcello should be able to mow down the Minnesota Twins and put himself back on the right track. On the season, Porcello is 7-2 with a 4.04 ERA.
