After a dominant performance by ace David Price and the Red Sox offense, Steven Wright takes the mound and looks to further the Red Sox's lead in the American League East. While Wright has had two consecutive losses, he was dominant last time out, pitching a complete game while allowing five hits and three runs, while striking out six and walking just one. Wright's team-leading ERA of 2.52 is one of the best in the league, and it would not surprise me if he continues his dominance tonight.
After an embarrassing performance last night from starting pitcher Jorge De La Rosa, the Colorado Rockies will send righty hurler Chad Bettis to the mound to combat against a mighty Red Sox lineup. Bettis' last start was rained out after he threw eight pitches in the first inning, but he did hurl six innings of one-run baseball against the Cardinals in his last official full start. Bettis has been able to get wins as of late, even though he has let up some substantial runs this season.
David Ortiz and Jackie Bradley Jr. will look to continue their phenomenal seasons as first pitch is set for 7:10 ET on what is shaping up to be a gorgeous night for baseball.
