After a fantastic come-from-behind win for the Boston Red Sox last night, the two teams will meet again for a 9:20 start time at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. The Red Sox will be sending Steven Wright to the mound, who now has a legitimate shot at being the starting pitcher for the American League at this year's All Star Game in San Diego. On the season, Wright is 8-4 with a measly 2.01 ERA, but lost his only previous start in Arlington. Over 5.2 innings, Wright relinquished three hits and three runs, two of which were from home runs.
The Texas Rangers will be activating A.J. Griffin off of the disabled list to make tonight's start after he was sidelined May 8 with right shoulder stiffness. Before the injury, Griffin was 3-0 with a 2.94 ERA in six starts. Griffin is familiar with the Red Sox, as he has made four starts against them with the Oakland Athletics in 2012 and 2013.
Put your pot of coffee on, this is going to be a late one.
