In short, it has been a really tough season for one of the best defensemen in hockey. First he had to do an interview with me at the start of the season, then he was benched by head coach Michel Therrien, now it looks as if he has sent a baby to the hospital.
According to Sporting News, during Montreal's open practice on Sunday, Subban threw a puck into the stands and knocked a one-month old baby girl unconscious. While the baby was taken to the hospital, she is expected to make a full recovery.
The biggest question in this whole fiasco is why the hell is a one-month old baby at an ice hockey rink in range of being hit by a puck? I know that they like to start them young on hockey up there in Canada, but one-month old? That is crazy.
Again, you have to feel bad for Subban. Dealing with him firsthand, I know that he is a great guy. He is misunderstood in places like Boston, but don't believe any Bruins fan that says they would not want him on this team. Moreover, he is having such a tough season with Montreal. Hopefully this season will be over for him quickly and he can go back to kicking ass next year, just not against the Bruins.
