#3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
As time goes on it seems uniforms are becoming less and less flashy by the day. However, it's hard not to love the old school "Bucco Bruce" uniforms that the Buccaneers sported back in the 70's. The creamsicle colored jerseys were a nice switch from the brownish colors the Bucs wear now. It's unlikely we'll see them any time soon with the new helmet rules in place.
#2 Houston Oiler
One of the greatest quarterbacks sporting one of the greatest uniforms. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with powder blue. W'eve seen it from the Oilers in the 80's to this present Chargers team, even the St. Louis Cardinals did it in the 80's.
#1 Denver Broncos
If you can't tell by now, I'm a fan of bright colors. As nice as these present day uniforms are, nothing compares to all these colorful throwbacks. Although the Seahawks implement the neon green/yellow in their current uniforms, it still doesn't have the same flash as these orange/blue Broncos colors. Even the current orange Broncos jerseys are a step down, with the change in logo and switching to a darker blue.
#3 Detroit Pistons
There's a reason teal isn't seen in many teams because it's a pretty awkward color. The Jaguars use teal in their color scheme and their uniforms are subpar to say the least. However the '96 Pistons got it right with these jerseys.
#2 Houston Rockets
As an owner of a Stevie Franchise jersey, I may be a little biased on this one. Bold move by the Rockets to take on the Yankees in the pinstripe game. Although the Yankees will always reign supreme in that category, I respect the effort by Houston with these.
#1 Phoenix Suns
This was a close one between the Suns and the Jazz, but there's no doubt that purple is taking the number one spot. It's hard to leave out the jersey that Barkley was wearing while they were filming Space Jam in 1996. The mustache doesn't hurt either.
#3 Tampa Bay Devil Rays
Everyone knows that black matches anything. Well, the Devil Rays took advantage of that and matched it with every color on the spectrum between purple and yellow. You have to appreciate the oil spill effect on these jerseys, although I think they needed to customize the arm width on Canseco's jersey.
#2 Houston Astros
These uniforms were so good they named them. The tequila sunrise jerseys. I don't even need to explain these ones. Just awesome.
#1 Arizona Diamondbacks
Like I said before, color is key, and it doesn't get much better than purple and teal. I won't even count the fact that the D-backs wore vests. I also love that these were the uniforms that beat the Yankees in the '01 World Series. The Luis Gonzlaez steroid arms were just a little extra.
#3 Minnesota North Stars
Now the Dallas Stars, the North Stars showed shades of Green Bay with the green and gold scheme. The Stars haven't strayed too far from the color scheme of the North Stars, but the new jerseys don't even begin to compare to these.
#2 Boston Bruins
Name 6 things better than Ray Borque in a bright yellow jersey with an eyeless bear on the front. You can't. These alternates were smack dab in the middle of my childhood, sending my nostalgia through the roof. These jerseys will forever hold a special place in my heart. I've searched high and low for one of these babies but it's been harder than I thought to find them.
#1 Quebec Nordiques
Nothing screams old school hockey like this picture. Joe Sakic in a Nordiques jersey, no visor and a black eye. Now the Avalanche, the Nordiques joined the NHL in 1979 with these awesome blue, red and white jerseys. As with most teams, the Avalance slightly adjusted the colors of these sweaters, and of course, ruined them.
