Malcolm Butler Impresses At Patriots Training Camp

After reading Tom E. Curran's quick notes from Patriots Training Camp, the most notable note has to be Malcolm Butler's "outstanding" play. On more than one occasion, Butler has been chirping away with receivers, such as Julian Edelman, after getting the better of them. In addition, Butler was the first to intercept Tom Brady. After picking off Brady, he taunted him as he marched into the end zone.

While I don't like to see anyone do anything to Touchdown Tommy, as a Patriots fan, you have to admire this kids confidence. With players like Brandon Browner and Darrelle Revis in front of you, a young rookie would be extremely lenient to being vocal, but no one like that is here now. Malcolm Butler is the team's top cornerback and can now be the vocal leader.

With the departures of Revis, Browner, Arrington, Dennard (need I go on?), Bill Belichik obviously sees something in him that is pretty special. You wouldn't give up a bunch of proven players for a guy that made one, albite it incredible, play in his entire career.
