Located on Rantoul Street in Beverly, Ma, Joe’s Pizza is not the most well-known pizza establishment on the North Shore. But with it's unique experience, it’s the pizza place you will always remember. Joe’s Pizza has one employee. His name is Richie Mazzone and he continues to operate the restaurant that his great uncle opened in 1938.
Inside the pizza shop, there are several booths lining the 2 walls. In the center, there is a counter with only a cash register on it. Behind this counter is a wall separating the seating area from the kitchen. Near the front, pizza boxes are stacked almost to the roof.
Joe’s has a very limited menu consisting only of thin crust pizza. Some of the toppings include peppers, onions, and pepperoni. The pies are not yuge, but one can easily feed two people. The best part of Joe’s is that the shop is open well past midnight. It’s the perfect place to catch a late night bite.
I have been going to Joe’s for quite some time with some of my friends that I have known since middle school. Our usual order is one cheese and one pepper and onion pizza. The pizza is notorious for being extremely hot out of the oven. As a self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur, I rate the pizza a perfect 10/10.
