Travis Kelce is an insanely talented player that provides Kansas City with a match-up nightmare that other teams need to prepare for. Despite his great play-making ability, people are going to know him more as an immature prima donna. After Sunday's AFC Divisional playoff loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kelce criticized the referees for a holding call made against Kansas City Offensive Tackle, Eric Fisher, that negated a 2 point conversion that would've tied the game. He was so disgusted with the call, he went on to say that the referee didn't deserve to have a job at foot locker let alone the NFL. What Travis Kelce failed to realize is that Eric Fisher did hold Pittsburgh linebacker James Harrison on the play, and it was obvious. The referees had to make that call because of how blatantly bad it was. Travis bitching about it at the end of the game made him look like a sore loser.
Kelce also lost his cool earlier in the game when he shoved Pittsburgh defensive back Ross Cockrell to the ground away from the play.
These aren't the only incidents on Kelce's track record. Kelce was thrown out of a game earlier this year for throwing a towel up in the air, mocking a referee. Granted that isn't a huge deal, but it is incredibly immature. Of course, that doesn't scratch the surface of what he did a couple of years ago. In a game against the Denver Broncos, Denver Linebacker, Von Miller, received a penalty for hitting Kansas City Quarterback, Alex Smith, late. Kelce responded by pointing over in Miller's direction and making a crude hand gesture of him relieving himself. He then went on Twitter to clarify his actions.
This is something I would expect from a 14-year-old kid, not a pro football player. He deleted the tweet shortly after publishing it to the world, but I guess someone forgot to tell Travis that nothing is ever permanently deleted on the internet.
Travis Kelce is an immature clown. He costs his team yards, gets kicked out of games, and he embarrasses himself on national television seemingly every season. I want to know if Chief fans have had enough of this guy yet. I get that he is one of the most talented Tight Ends in the game, but doesn't this garbage embarrass you? I hope he takes time this off-season to learn from the leaders of that Kansas City football team on how to be professional. He is giving his team a bad image, and fans all around the world are rolling their eyes when they see his antics. Travis needs to put on his big boy pants and learn that this stuff isn't funny. Grow up, kid.
And for the record: The media can stop comparing him to Rob Gronkowski any day now. Gronk is a man-child, but he isn't this stupid. When it comes to talent, it's not close. Teams have been able to zero in on Kelce and cause him to disappear. I have yet to see a defense completely take Gronk out of a game. Even when defenses know he's getting the ball, he still finds a way to make a great catch(see 2016 AFC Championship). Comparing Travis Kelce to Rob Gronkowski is an insult, stop it.
