Winners: The Carson Palmer Larry Fitz Combo
These two guys must have found the fountain of youth before the 2015 season took off. Watching this weekends highlights I was confused as to whether they were showing highlights for previous seasons. Larry Fitzgerald caught 8 of his 9 targets for 112 yards and a crazy three touchdowns. Carson Palmer provided all the magic with another stellar performance, now totaling 7 touchdowns on the year.
Loser: Drew Brees
Who dat? No really, who dat? Is what Saints fans were asking themselves as Brees provided another below average performance. After suffering a shoulder injury on Sunday, the balls that exited his hand looked like punts. Usually seen as an automatic start, the aging, and banged up Brees is listed as doubtful for week three. Until that arm is back in form I would look for a replacement.
Winner: Dion Lewis
Last week I was hesitant to call him a winner because of the return of LeGarrette Blount. Lewis surprised me by getting both the week two start and another crazy game statistically. Lewis had 138 yards from the line of scrimmage on Sunday and a touchdown on the ground. Lewis fumbled for the second time on Sunday, which typically means a trip to the doghouse under coach Belichick. Lewis was back on the field the next drive, which means this guy must be special. He’s a great option for RB2 or your flex spot so make sure you start him week three.
Loser: Any Running Back affiliated with the Broncos
If any of you drafted C.J Anderson in the late first or second round I have no sympathy. ESPN and multiple fantasy advising websites suggested that C.J Anderson was the next big thing. Guess what! He isn’t! What makes the situation worse is that backup Ronnie Hillman is also garbage. I’m calling the Denver ground game a loser for the season. Avoid these guys at all costs.
