So Chris Carter called out Chandler Jones saying that his Synthetic Weed “story” is false and it’s not severe enough to put someone in that state where he needed help.
Carter continuously contradicted himself and kept saying, “I don’t know this,” while spewing out his opinions that he was trying to pass off as to what actually happened. Carter spoke from experience and speculated that, “he was smoking some marijuana laced with PCP, or Angel Dust,” when he was on ESPN with Mike and Mike.
In the beginning of his own career, Carter drank heavily, smoked weed, took ecstasy, and blew lines of cocaine on a regular basis and failed three drug tests before Buddy Ryan gave up and released him. He went on to have a Hall Of Fame career catching over 1,000 passes for almost 14,000 yards and 130 touchdowns.
He started off by saying it is scary “anytime you have an elite athlete who is in duress because of something they put in their body,” which is true as it is a little dumb on Jones’ part to do that with six days to go before such a big game. We all talked about in our Biased Boston Report last night.
In any event, Carter said that “it doesn’t pass the smell test for me,” saying that there must have been something else that made him react as poorly as he did. He noted that he smelled like Marijuana when he showed up to the police station and “synthetic don’t smell like marijuana.”
Having the marijuana be laced with something seemed like the only logical explanation but kept saying that he is still very unsure if his opinions are 100% true as he doesn’t “know all the facts.”
He went on to compare Jones to what Aaron Hernandez did and where he ended up even though they are completely different situations. I get it, Hernandez very well could have been taking something (seeing as how he was in a gang anyway) and he then eventually turned into a murderer (“allegedly”).
That part didn’t make any sense. Hernandez ran from the police (more or less) while Jones sought out the police in his trouble. Either way, they are still vastly different scenarios and Hernandez has been gone for too long to have an effect on Chandler Jones. I’m sure Bill and Rob made sure that none of his effects stayed in that locker room.
There is no way that Jones picked up those habits from him, period. End of story.
Carter was trying to shove his version of the story down everyone’s throats while continuously refuting his own words in the same breath. He jumped to conclusions and couldn’t even back himself up and kept saying how he just “doesn’t know.”
In the end this is just going to add more fuel to the fire that burns in every Patriot in that locker room and every single fan to go out and kick Kansas City’s ass in their first step towards their fifth championship on the F--- Them All Tour.
