It's safe to say that the Cleveland Cavaliers are in the midst of a slump, losing 6 of their last 8 games and currently holding only a 3 game lead over the Toronto Raptors for first in the Eastern Conference. Now, perhaps the NBA Finals hangover is finally settling in? Beats me. But reminiscent of former Heat teammate Dwayne Wade, LeBron James has become very vocal about what he believes to be the issue(s) for the Cavs.
Everything seems to have come out of LeBron's mouth in terms of who he thinks would fill the void and bring the Cavs back together. Whether that be a backup point guard (Rondo and Chalmers have bounced around) or a playmaker (Carmelo Anthony), LeBron seems to be really bitching to the front office about this team. Maybe sensing his title window closing?
His recent gripes have caught the public eye, as on TNT's "Inside the NBA," Charles Barkley really tore into LeBron and his whining...

Not often do I agree with Chuck, but he is 100% right here. LeBron has 2 top-20 players in the league alongside him, 1 of the best shooters in the world, 1 of the best rebounders in the league, and a pretty deep bench as well. And what is he doing? Bitching to the front office to go get a superstar because they've lost 6 out of their last 8 games.
For starters, WHAT?! LeBron, you're first in the East, you've been to the Finals for an unprecedented 6 times in a row, and have won 3. You are on the only team that can actually beat the Warriors in a 7 game series. Why are you whining? Get over yourself. This team is 100% making the playoffs this year and likely the Eastern Conference participant, barring anything significant happens. But anyway, you're turning into Melo and Wade, complaining just because your team is struggling.
And Chuck is 100% correct: It's because LeBron doesn't want to compete anymore. He sees his title window closing, and he wants it to be as easy as possible. Stop being a baby and work for it for crying out loud.
