According to TMZ, who reportedly gained this information from a close family member (the report has now been confirmed), former First Lady, Nancy Reagan, has died at the age of 94 due to congestive heart failure. Reagan had been battling health issues for the past couple of years from her Bel Air, California home.
While Mrs. Reagan, who married former President Ronald Reagan in 1952, was at first criticized for her fancy lifestyle and taste, Americans grew to love the Reagan family. During such a tense time in American history, Mrs. Reagan set the tone for First Ladies to actually have a voice in the White House. She did not comment on specific policies, but made her feelings be known about certain topics and was a consistent rock for her husband.
Mrs. Reagan will be buried next to her husband in the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Reagan family.
