Free agent Mohamed Sanu has now officially been signed to the Atlanta Falcons for five years and $32.5 million with $14 million guaranteed according to multiple sources.
This comes on the second day of free agency and after he spent the primary day in Atlanta, which is when he was expected to sign.
However, in a little bit of confusion, Josina Anderson spoke with Sanu at 4:40 p.m. and reported that he was going to visit New England after Atlanta.
This is yet another free agent target that has slipped through the hands of the front office in Foxboro. The need for a top wide receiver and running back is mounting hour after hour while other free agents are signing elsewhere.
At this rate, a couple seemingly enticing options includes Anquan Boldin and Jermaine Kearse, both boasting a veteran presence with established careers.
There seems to be a little cause for concern since the Patriots have still yet to make a splash in the free agent market, but never doubt Bill, right?
