According to Celtics head coach Brad Stevens, Jae Crowder will miss "a couple weeks" after sustaining an ankle injury Friday night.
For Celtics fans, this is a tough pill to swallow. Crowder has been arguably the second most important player for this Celtics team all season. This season, Crowder has averaged 14.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 66 games. Additionally, Crowder has played stout defense against stars such as Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony.
Fortunately, according to multiple reports, Crowder's MRI on Saturday did not reveal anything more serious. While missing a couple of weeks could provide difficulty in solidifying the #3 seed, it is better than being out for the rest of the season.
We will continue to give you updates on this injury as we gain further information.
