It is widely known that Bill Simmons is a huge Boston sports fan despite his residency in Los Angeles. Simmons has adopted some of the LA teams, most notably the Clippers, but he still remains loyal to Boston. Giving his son the initials “B.O.S.” for Boston shows is love for the city.
On Tuesday morning, Simmons expressed his fear on Twitter for the Celtics game, who already find themselves down 0-1, and without Avery Bradley for at least the rest of the first round playoffs. Simmons fears regard the officiating crew for the game:
NBA official Scott Foster has been voted as one of the worst officials in the league, according to the LA Times. Tony Brothers is also not considered a great ref. He is known for missing and making blatantly questionable calls.
I agree with Simmons that these officials do not really favor either team, but it is going to make the game more stressful than it needs to be.
