When Chiarelli made the move that sent Jordan Caron to the Av's for Max Tablbot, I don't think the initial thought was that this team would be saved.
9 days later, it sure feels that way.
I love this move made by Chiarelli and with it, he is creeping out of the dog house. His ability to make these "minor" moves, that turns the team around, is why I think he will still be with the Bruins next year.
Talbot is the character, and the spark that the fourth line needed, but most importantly, this team needed. I've said this before but when you lose huge character guys like Boychuk and Thornton, your team is not going to be as good. Plain and simple.
Talbot has been making great plays, great checks and bringing the atmosphere in the dressing room way up. He plays with such intensity and seems to fit in extremely well with Claude's defensive system.
I'm very happy to say that the Merlot line seems to be back. With Tablot's play, it's allowing Paille and Soupy to find their game again. Credit needs to be given when it's due and I think Talbot has proven he has come to the rescue.
Chiarelli may have saved his job here with this move and if Talbot continues to be the spark that this team needs, I'm not ready to let Chiarelli go.
- Tuukka played phenominal last night against the Sens making 39 saves (21 in the 2nd)
- Spooner continued his hot streak, having 2 goals last night in his homecoming to Ottawa
- Big game coming up on Thursday vs the Lighting, hope they continue to roll..5-0-1 in their last six.
