The Red Sox will be looking to win the series against the Texas Rangers tonight at Fenway Park, as they will be sending their "ace," and I use that term loosely, to the mound. David Price has had two straight disappointing starts, one of which was against this same Rangers team. In his last start against the Rangers, Price allowed six runs on 12 hits in a season-low 2.1 innings. On the season, Price is 8-5 with a 4.74 ERA. Good looks, $217 million man.
The Rangers will be sending A.J. Griffin to the mound, who has struck out 14 batters in 9.1 inning since being activated off of the disabled list. In his July 25 start against the Red Sox, Griffin allowed two runs in 4.1 innings, while striking out six in a no-decision.
