After two fantastic come-from-behind victories and winners of three in a row, the Red Sox are looking to stay in the race atop the American League East. The Red Sox are currently percentage points ahead of the Toronto Blue Jays for second place in the American League East. They are also only one game behind the Baltimore Orioles for first place. Look for the Red Sox to build off of these past two wins and use them for their playoff push.
The Red Sox will be sending their ace to the mound in David Price, who is looking to build off a fantastic outing against the Anaheim Angels last time out. Last time out, Price threw eight shutout innings in arguably his best start in a Red Sox uniform. While he does flash a 4.26 ERA, Price has been much better as of late and is looking to improve off of a poor performance in the first half.
Opposing him will be Wade LeBlanc, who has spent time in both the starting rotation and bullpen so far this season. Since being acquired from the Blue Jays, in four starts, LeBlanc has gone 1-0 with a 3.63 ERA.
Bryce Brentz, Sandy Leon and Aaron Hill will again be in the starting lineup, but super prospect Andrew Benintendi is on the bench and available in this game.
