On yet another lousy day in the mid-atlantic/DC Area with 4 inches of snow and frigid weather for the past two weeks, lets all imagine that we are in a much nicer part of the country right now golfing and at Spring Training. Luckily, spring break is right around the corner (for me it is, anyways) So I'm going to talk about some of the golf courses and sporting events that I plan on attending while I am on vacation in about a week and a half.
1. Play TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course
So a few weeks back they had the well known PGA Phoenix Open here and it was very exciting to watch. That event is always known to get loud and rowdy and as a golf fan you love to see that. I definitely plan on playing here while I am on vacation in Scottsdale. This course is wide open for the most part so I look forward letting my driver rip down the middle of the fairway here.
2. Catch a Spring Training Game
So after a nice round of golf or a long day at the pool I definitely plan on catching a spring training game while I am in Scottsdale, AZ. Unfortunetly I will not be able to catch a Red Sox game since they play in Fort Myers, FL, but I have the luxury of being able to see my second favorite team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, play at Camelback-Ranch in Glendale, AZ
3. PGA West Stadium Course
So after 4-5 days in Arizona I will be making the treck across the 10, west into Palm Springs, California. Although I have been to Palm Springs a dozen times I have not actually played PGA West, but after seeing it on TV a couple weeks ago, I am now compelled to try it out. From what I have seen on TV it will be a challenge, but certainly one I am looking forward to.
Well thats all I have planned for now, but in the meantime I will be grinding out the next week and half. Look for me poolside on The Report.
