On Tuesday, the federal court gave everyone an inclination of when a possible hearing for the NFL's appeal on Tom Brady's 4 game suspension being vindicated by Judge Richard Berman would occur. Prior to this, the NFL and NFLPA agreed on expediting the hearing to finish this debacle once and for all.
The ruling virtually guarantees that New England Patriots QB Tom Brady will be able to play the entire 2015 season and postseason without the lingering suspicion that he may be suspended for his role, or lack thereof, in Deflategate.
The Wild Card portion of the NFL playoffs kick off on January 9, 2016, while the AFC and NFC Championship Games are scheduled for January 24. The Super Bowl in Santa Clara, California, which is not too far from Brady's hometown of San Mateo (adding even more fuel to the fire), will be held on February 7.
All that Patriots fans need to know is that the appeal can be heard as early as February 1, 2016, and Tom Brady will not be required to attend. The key word here is "as early as." Meaning, this appeal could be heard on February 1st or April1st.
While many believe, myself included, that it is virtually impossible for Touchdown Tommy to serve this suspension because of the clear Witch Hunt perpetrated by the NFL, I offer this word of advice to Patriots Nation:
Suit up and prepare for war. The NFL will not go down without a fight.
