Within the last hour, Donald J. Trump has received his most important endorsement to date. Speaker Paul Ryan has just endorsed Trump for President of the United States. Ryan last month, notably said he was "Not ready" to endorse Trump due to key policy differences and other personal issues.
Soon after, a sit down took place between the speaker and presumptive nominee and both camps reported that it was a great meeting. Since then until today, we had not heard much in regards to Ryan and Trump, with Trump dominating headlines in other ways.
With the Ryan endorsement, it appears that the Republican establishment is almost fully behind Trump. After Ryan, it is likely that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will follow suit and endorse Trump and even possibly Ryan's former running mate who has been a huge critic of Trump, Mitt Romney.
With this in mind, the Republican convention in the dreadful city of Cleveland will be taking place in less than eight weeks. Ryan will be chairing the convention and with him supporting Trump any possibility of trying to steal the nomination away from Trump will be put to rest.
